You have the power to help save lives during a sudden cardiac arrest.
PulsePoint AED is a valuable app that enables you to contribute to the public registry of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in your community or any other location. These life-saving devices are readily available in offices, airports, schools, businesses, and various public places.
By using the PulsePoint AED app, you can easily add the location of AEDs in your community to the registry. This ensures that these life-saving devices are more accessible and easier to locate during a cardiac emergency.
When AEDs are added to the registry through the PulsePoint AED app, they become accessible to emergency dispatchers, CPR-trained citizens, and off-duty professionals such as firefighters, paramedics, and nurses. Instead of asking callers if there is an AED nearby, emergency dispatch center staff can promptly provide the exact location of a life-saving device (T-AED).
In addition to AEDs, the PulsePoint AED app also records and displays other life-saving resources available at AED locations, such as Bleeding Control Kits, Naloxone (e.g., NARCAN®), and Epinephrine (e.g., EpiPen®).
Take a moment to watch this brief video showcasing how effortlessly you can add an AED to the community registry: PulsePoint AED Video.
You can also add an AED to the registry at any time by simply entering "aed.new" in your browser.
If you have CPR training and are willing to assist during nearby cardiac emergencies, we encourage you to download the companion app, PulsePoint Respond.
Public Safety Agencies, including EMS, fire services, law enforcement, and emergency dispatch, are also encouraged to review AEDs in their jurisdiction. The hosted AED registry provided by PulsePoint offers a user-friendly workflow for public safety professionals to manage all necessary tasks and access community AED information during call processing or within an EMD protocol. There are no charges associated with using or contributing to the registry.
PulsePoint AED is an end-to-end FirstNet Certified™ application. This certification guarantees exceptional availability (99.99%) and adherence to independent third-party audits for security, data privacy, and performance.
PulsePoint is a non-profit foundation operating under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are committed to improving cardiac arrest survival rates and offer the PulsePoint AED and Respond apps along with a dispatch-connected AED registry as part of our mission.
